Weather forecast has progressed tremendously and gives us almost to accurate weather predictions but how about some time in the north pole in the heart of the snow?
In this article, we’ll take you on a mystical journey to the north pole and try project the experience of living among the snow with very low temperatures.
The North Pole, What Do You Know About?
- It’s the point of intersection between earth’s axis of rotation meets the surface.
- North pole is the second coldest region after the south pole. Temperature there varies from zero to -43 celsius.
- As within the south pole, all the latitudes meet. Therefore, both of them don’t follow a certain time zone but the time zones are set relative to them.
- Near this area, the earth’s northern pole relies. That’s where your compass needle points.
Life Below Zero Temperature.
- Some may think that it’s going to be extremely boring, nothing to do, alone in the middle of nowhere, afraid of frostbite, etc.. While part of that is in fact true since you can’t get used to this extreme temperatures easily but surely you won’t feel lonely. There’re plenty of polar bears and wolves to keep you accompanied.
- There’re many animals which have the means to withstand such extreme climates.

Certainly you’ve seen movies or documentaries about eskimo tribes. They don’t live exactly in the north pole but in the areas around it; like northern Siberia, the shores of Alaska, the northern coast of Canada and many more areas.
They’re divided into two main tribes Yupik and Aleut. They adapted with their environment very well and perfectly using whatever resources they have. They created a natural life for themselves. Living on hunting and fishing using their kayaks and use animal skins to make cloth and their summer houses. During winter, they build their houses from ice cubes and they use sleds pulled by a team of 7 to 14 husky dogs for transport.
They differ from other materialistic people because they believe in the communication between humans and spirits of nature, the spirits of sick and dead, spirit of a newborn and gods to help their sick and control natural events. They also carve wooden masks to represent each of these spirits.
The totem is one of these carvings representing a sacred object of a family or a tribe.
Dance Of The Spirits.
The most famous name of it is Aurora Borealis. It’s a phenomena happens when the solar wind meets the magnetosphere. Many have made up stories and legends about it and it’s been a mystery for scientists till it was solved yet it’s one of the most beautiful things on our planet.
