MSI G series gaming laptops always deliver when it comes to row performance with high specs and this one is no exception.

The MSI ge62vr is a 15 inch gaming laptop that weighs 5.3 Ibs (2.4 KG) and the dimensions are 15.1 inches x 10.2 inches x 1.1 inches ( 38.3 cm x 25.9 cm x 2.7 cm)

Build Quality:

It has a brushed aluminum top panel with the red MSI gaming logo and the brand name in silver color. The bottom panel is plastic with a lot of intake vents and shows a great view for the heat pipes. There’s a lot of flex in the screen so you wanna be careful with what you put on the screen and the hinge is a little bit on the stiff side because you can’t open it with one hand.

The chassis  is solid with little to no flex at all and quite thick as well for a 15 inch laptop.

Speaking about the keyboard, MSI always delivers when it comes to good keyboards on laptops and this one is no exception. Typing experience is a pleasure on this keyboard. The tactile feed back and travel distance are great and it’s back-lit with different color zones which you can customize in the software for your all needs. The keyboard is of a standard layout with no awkward short shifts and buttons put in random positions except for the windows key which is on the right side.

The trackpad is reasonably ok. It’s not great but it’ll do.. since it’s a gaming laptop anyway, you’ll probably be using a high quality mouse with it and barely notice its existence. However, it has lights around the edges and the physical buttons are separated from the trackpad and they’re good. They don’t sound like those plasticy loud ones and the tactile feed is just right. It’s also textured so you’ll get some friction when swiping from left to right but not from top to bottom. The speakers are also pointed at the front.

Gaming on this laptop is a treat. You can throw any high demanding title in 1080p at high settings and you’ll still get 60+ fps and it’s also VR compatible.

The display is a 15.6 IPS panel. It’s matte finish with excellent viewing angels and fairly bright. The inclusion of a 4k is also available.

All that’s left to say is that fan noise is quite at idle and a lot of heat pipes result in a great thermal dissipation.

The pricing of this laptop is around 1500$ based on the configurations you order.
