A powerful gaming beast with unique copper design and incredible specs. It also comes with a hefty price.
It’s a 17 inch laptop that weighs about 9.7 Ibs ( 4.3 kg)
Dimensions: 16.9 x 13.1 x 2.1 inches. (42.9 mm x 33.2 mm x 5.3 mm)
Build quality:
The overall build quality is very solid and sturdy. It’s also a 17 inch laptop which means that’s it’s both big and heavy.
The top panel is silver colored with the republic of gamer logo, another 2 light strips and a copper accent in the back. The bottom panel is also silver colored with big a lot of rubber feet and a nice view of the internals.
There’s little to flex anywhere. Whether it’s the keyboard area or the screen and overall, it’s constructed to be a desktop replacement and not something you can carry around frequently.
A minor setback is that the laptop is so big and takes a lot of space like the MSI Gt80 Titan.

Performance:
Gaming on this laptop is a pleasure. You can throw any moderately demanding titles and high demanding to the gtx 1070 and it’ll handle it perfectly running at 75+ fps most of the time. With g-sync the reduction of stuttering with that high fps makes gaming an enjoyment.
The Display:
One of the most important features in this laptop is the screen. It’s a 17.3 inch screen with g-sync and a refresh rate of 75 Hz. They could have gone with a higher refresh rate panel since the graphics can drive more than 75 fps in most of the available titles at this time but for the average gamer, it’s 75 Hz is also a good option.
It’s matte finish with great color accuracy and the viewing angels are amazing.
Keyboard and Trackpad:
It’s an amazing keyboard. The tactile feedback is great and the travel distance is just right. The WASD keys have a red accent on the border of the key caps and the keyboard is backlit with just red LEDs.
The keyboard also has macro keys on the top of the “F” keys which you can program.
The Trackpad:
Unlike many high end laptops which have horrible trackpads, this one is actually pretty well built. It doesn’t skip and it tracks very smoothly. The separate physical buttons are also of a good quality.
Upgradeability:
The internals can be accessed by removing just one screw on the bottom and it has a pull tap to lift the cover making this laptop one of the easiest laptops to upgrade.
Cooling:
Thermally, this laptop runs at very low temperatures. Fan noise though is a bit louder than usual under full load. However, the advantage of it, is that you don’t ever encounter performance degradation because of the components getting too hot.
The battery is an 88 Wh battery. The adapter is big and gets really hot.
