Microsoft released Windows 10’s anniversary update last week with lots of new features within that most if not all windows users have been waiting for.
New Features:
Windows Ink:Â Windows Ink Workspace Demo
Allows you to add several functionalities. Like quick memos with sticky pads.
Sketch Pad for your fast designs
Customizing a stylus to your preference for so much creativity.
Microsoft Edge Extensions:
The got extensions now and they’re very helpful. Like the. Also in collaboration with many manufacturers, a lot of of extensions were made and are now merged within the browser. For example, saving passwords, Adblock, Evernote and translation for quick page translations.
There’s also a pin feature allows you to save certain pages in the bookmark to be always open and cycle through them with just a click.
Cortana Above Lock Screen:
You can interact with Cortana through voice chat even with the screen in locking mode. You can give commands, ask for real time translations and much more. Cortana can as well verify the person using the computer by windows hello.
Visual Improvements:
Microsoft has improved the user interface and the overall experience through animations and the start menu showing all the used apps instead of clicking on All apps.
Also with a 4 finger swipe, you can cycle between desktops for a much better smooth and easy access.
More Productivity:
Notifications have also been improved. Once you take action with a notification on a device, it’ll get removed from other devices so that you don’t swipe for eternity on the locking screen of your mobile or laptop.
Now with continuum, teamwork is so much better. Sharing a phone screen on a computer and live editing should prove so beneficial during conferences and presentations.
